Therapy
-
I provide individual therapy services to adolescents (ages 11-17) and adults (18+), who reside in California and Washington State via telehealth sessions.
-
I want to make sure people feel safe and comfortable being their unapologetic selves. Feel free to laugh, cry, and curse all you want as I’ll probably be joining you! I want everybody to go at the pace that feels best for themselves.
-
I offer weekly and biweekly sessions, depending on what your needs and financial circumstances are. If you’re justing starting therapy, I recommend weekly sessions to help you get started on your goals sooner rather than later if sessions were not as frequent.
Of course, if you’re at a place where you’re feeling pretty solid with your progress and aren’t needing to meet with me as frequently, we could discuss tapering off to monthly sessions.

Each session is 50 minutes. During the first appointment, we’ll talk more about what brings you to therapy and identify what your goals are. I’ll probably be asking you more questions than I usually would in order to learn more about yourself and your background.
If it feels like we’re a good match and continue working together, sessions will start with a check-in. It could be following-up on homework (yes, I assign homework!), something we talked about in our last session, or just having an open dialogue about how you’ve been doing.

Therapy isn’t one size fits all; each session is tailored to the needs of each client. The types of therapy I often incorporate are:
Culturally Sensitive
Person-Centered
Strength-Based
Depth Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as “tapping”
